Au pair in Luxembourg

Luxembourg withdrew from the European Agreement on Au Pair Placements which had been signed in Strasbourg on 24th November 1969, the withdrawal became effective on 24th March 2003. As from this date young people who come to a host family have to be employed under a work contract which is subject to the provisions of the law on work contracts that has been amended on 24 May 1989. Those people who are no nationals of a European Union country are subject to the legislation concerning foreign employees' entry to and stay in the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
